Alice Rowena Wilson is a writer from Herefordshire, now based in Edinburgh.
She is the recipient of a Scottish Book Trust New Writer’s Award for 2026. She has previously been a BBC / Arts Council England New Creative.
She is currently working on two novels: The True and Wonderful Story of Benedetta di Ghinello, a novel about women, art and vampires in Renaissance Florence, and Three Weeks, a novel about the Tour de France and rivalry.
She teaches Latin, Greek, Classics and other humanities subjects. She has a B.A. in Classics from the University of Oxford (Exeter) and an MPhil in Classics from the University of Cambridge (Corpus Christi).
